諮商中心致本校境外生同學的一封信
親愛的同學大家好：
對於近期在南部某大學發生的大馬女學生遇害事件，我們深感遺憾與難過。對於從其他地區來台求學的學生而言，起初大家都是懷著美好的夢想與期望，但後來可能才發現在他鄉求學並不是一件容易的事。原來文化及環境適應上所帶來的不安與失落，也可能隨著本次社會案件更加劇了不適的感受。或許有人可能對於自身安全開始感到擔心、害怕，有人對家鄉的思念可能遽增而感到悲傷、難過，甚至有人會對生活大小事皆感到不耐煩、易怒。這些情緒上的反應也可能伴隨著生理上例如頭痛、肚子痛、拉肚子、失眠、噩夢等身體不適反應。
在意外事件發生後出現上述這些身心反應，都是可以理解且正常的，大部份這些情況會隨著時間慢慢好轉，但若持續兩週以上仍未改善，甚至影響生活作息與情緒時，請記得向您身邊的同學、老師或諮商中心聯繫並尋求協助。
事實上，本學期，諮商中心也針對異鄉留學的議題舉辦6次工作坊(詳細資訊如連結)，提供一個安全舒適的環境，讓大家能夠一同分享留學的甘苦經驗。這些團體或工作坊的帶領者皆為本校教育心理與諮商輔導系的諮商心理師實習生(由諮商中心副主任吳怡珍教授指導)。歡迎同學能多利用這次機會來參與，讓我們彼此支持、互相關心，創造更安心舒適的學習旅程！

Dear International Students and Oversea Chinese,
Studying abroad can be exciting and frustrating at the same time. While it may be many people’s dream to go to a foreign land for a change, any change event in life can be stressful and sometimes difficult to handle alone. This semester, counseling center provides several group events for international students and oversea Chinese. The purpose of these group events is to create a safe place for people with same experiences like you to come together and share your stories and life journey with each other. During the group events, you may learn more about your experiences encountering different culture or custom in Taiwan and find adjustable ways to cope well with unfamiliarty that’s often the experience of living in a foreign country.
We hope you can join our group events and meet new friends. Please see detail information about these group events in the following pages. All participants will receive a small gift for attendance. So make sure to sign up the group events that you would like to join because the space is limited. You may find the sign-up sheet using the QR code on each group event’s poster (No sign-up on site please).
